Devil is in the Details
I know not everyone believes in a fire and brimstone version of hell or a devil in red holding a pitchfork. However I do believe in very dark low level energy that resists any kind of Godly white light. That being said, I can envision where getting caught up in details of tasks that I am given could serve as a devil of its own, as it would take my attention off of the bigger purpose of spreading God’s light and love.
For example, back in March I was guided by Spirit to write a blog about my experiences working with energy. I can write just fine, but I had no idea how to create a website. I knew I would have to get caught up to speed on all things website. That could take me months and in the meantime would take my attention completely off of my writing. I was not willing to do that. I told Spirit, “I will write everything for a website, but I need you to drop someone in my lap who will create it for me.” A few days later my teacher Stacia told me about Lisa Witter, who would be perfect for the job because she herself is an intuitive and understands the world of which I would be writing. Lisa was the perfect fit for my needs. She very quickly constructed my website theministryonline.org and I was able to continue with my writing.
A few months later I was guided to write a book about my experiences at Open Clinic. I told Spirit, “I am happy to write a book but I am not going to learn all there is to know about self-publishing; I need you to drop someone in my lap that will take care of all those aspects.” A few days later my friend Kim told me about Polly Letofsky at My Word Publishing in Denver and the amazing work that she does preparing authors get their work published. I contacted Polly; she was an amazing help and got One Love: Divine Healing at Open Clinic published and up on Amazon in paperback as well as Kindle.
Similarly, when I was told I was to meet Oprah Winfrey, why didn’t I have the fortitude to simply say, “Well, I don’t know how to make that happen, so you just need to make it drop into my lap?” Frankly, I didn’t think about it. Instead I tried to figure out how I could get my book to her. It was extremely frustrating and exhausting. I am going to remember this life lesson. When Spirit guides me to do something, and I agree to take on the task, I am not going to allow myself to get lost in the details. I am simply going to ask that I be given all that I need in order to make things happen.
