Defining Life and Death
Through meditation I stopped in to sit in God’s presence. I basked in the warm healing light and thought about the coming passing of both my father and my mother. I felt the word “LIFE” and knew that I would be receiving a lesson. Expecting to see an image of “life” as I knew it on earth, I was surprised when the “life” I was shown was a soul. I watched as it passed from life on earth to life in the spirit realm. The soul on earth had no more validity or palpability than the soul after life on earth. The soul after life on earth continued, just as visible, just as virile, just as alive.
Life of a soul does not mean simply life on earth. Our souls continue and live on.
I went to sit with God this morning. I was shown the word DEATH. I understood that this was not death of the body, or soul, but death of the spirit. I saw the daily numbing of the spirit caused by drinking to excess, drugs, hate, and choosing to live in low level energy. There was no ability to feel love; there was no joy or hope. A slow and insidious death to the spirit.
Just as I was shown the meaning of LIFE this spring, here I was shown the meaning of DEATH. LIFE meaning the continuation of the soul once it leaves the physical body. The LIFE of the soul, vs the DEATH of the spirit: one is a gift, and the other a self-imposed travesty.
May you have time, energy and grace today to consciously bring love and life to your spirit.
